& Vision

The San Diego Organizing Project (SDOP) is a nonpartisan, multi-faith network of faith and spiritual congregations that represents more than 30,000 families across San Diego County. As one of the most diverse grassroots organizations in the region, we uniquely bridge racial, cultural and economic divides to unlock the prophetic power of people and bring justice, equality and greater opportunity to fruition.

Since 1979, SDOP has equipped people of faith and spiritual values to build power and organize their communities to win racial and economic justice policies through leadership development & training, community education, and civic engagement & advocacy.

Together, we are building a new vision of what is possible in our neighborhoods!

Justice System Reform

We are dismantling unfair and racist systems that disproportionately criminalize, imprison and deport people of color and the unsheltered population.

Affordable Housing & Homelessness

We are protecting existing housing units, tenants' rights, and advocating for services & policies that create more affordable housing and lift people out of homelessness.

Immigrant Justice

We are advocating for a pathway to legal and permanent residency for immigrant families, so we can participate in our shared prosperity together.

County Government Accountability

We are ensuring our tax dollars are spent where they matter, to build better lives for all families.

Civic Engagement

Every voice matters, and every vote counts. When all voices are heard, we can ensure that policies that reflect the needs of our communities are enacted.
