Congregations

Meet Our Member Congregations

Our member congregations are assigned an SDOP staff organizer, who assist in the formation of a congregation-based organizing committee. The committee will, through our faith-based organizing model, guide the committee and larger congregational base through listening, research, and action on local, state, and national issues.

We prize the opportunity to partner with your congregation in this faithful endeavor. If you are interested in becoming a member congregation with SDOP, please email Executive Director, Dinora Reyna-Gutierrez, at dinora@sdop.net

Meet Our Partner Congregations

Our partner congregations work with SDOP staff, congregations, and member congregations on various issue campaigns and training. Partners may seek support, coaching, and consultation from SDOP, but do not have an assigned organizer to build an organizing committee or lead campaigns.

We prize the opportunity to partner with your congregation in this faithful endeavor. If you are interested in becoming a member congregation with SDOP, please email Executive Director, Dinora Reyna-Gutierrez, at dinora@sdop.net

The work of justice can never be done alone. It requires community. For St. John, SDOP has proven to be a trustworthy community that champions for those who cannot fend for themselves. SDOP has come alongside our congregation, learned our congregational and community priorities, and strategically partnered with us to affect positive change. This is just the beginning!
